Description
Oof tough one to categorize, since I was responsible for the photo, the clothing, and the painting of the dolls (though you can't see the faces that well). So I think it's mostly about the photo. I'm on a fairy tale kick atm so I wanted to upload at least one image of this!
My dolls Sahara and Gideon portraying the Emperor and the Nightingale from the classic fairy tale, somewhat re-imagined as a love (?) story and vaguely steampunk at that. This scene is when the Emperor has fallen ill and the Nightingale comes to see him even though they have become estranged.
Wings and bodice, armor are acid-etched brass. This was an entry for the customizing contest at the Volks NY Dolpa event in June 2007.
